Carolyn Nordengren

Carolyn is primarily interested in the art of Late Medieval and Early Modern Europe. Her research interests include the ways in which art intersects with the creation and dissemination of knowledge, collecting practices, and shifting European perceptions of self and "other" during the Age of Exploration. To investigate these topics Carolyn engages with a wide array of source material including painting, sculpture, manuscripts and early printed books, and prints.
