Learning Lessons: Reflections on a Life in Academia

This talk considers the continuing process of learning throughout one’s life and career. Prof. Weitz will recount her experience as a graduate student under Dr. Chu-Tsing Li in the Art History department at KU. She will also discuss her continued trajectory of learning in her position as Professor of East Asian Studies and Art at Colby College (Maine), as a researcher of Chinese material culture, and as a curator of exhibitions, including No Limits: Zao Wou-Ki (2016-2017) at Asia Society Museum (NYC) and Colby College Museum of Art.
