The art history department's undergraduate coordinator is Dr. Maya Stiller, mstiller@ku.edu, and our undergraduate advisor is Krystle Perkins, krystle@ku.edu. You may contact either of them directly to schedule an appointment for advising related to class scheduling, major/minor declaration, to complete major/minor certification, or for any other course or academic querries.

Advising During COVID-19 Crisis:

August 2020 Advising - throughout the month of August, College academic advisors will be available for drop-in virtual advising via Zoom. Please visit the CASS Drop-ins page to get more information. Students can access the drop-in schedule and the Zoom link from this page.

Fall 2020 Advising (after first week of classes) - Advisors in the College will be conducting all advising appointments virtually throughout the fall semester. Students can schedule virtual appointments through the regular process.

Fall 2020 Virtual Drop-in Advising - In addition to virtual scheduled appointments, ongoing drop-in advising will occur weekly throughout the fall semester via Zoom. Two drop-in options will be available each week, staffed by College advisors (Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon). Please visit the CASS Drop-ins page to get more information.



Graduate students in the History of Art Department are encouraged to contact their faculty advisor or the Director of Graduate Studies, Dr. Marni Kessler, with any questions or concerns.

Lauren Chaney, the Graduate Academic Advisor, provides graduate-level administrative and policy advising support for the History of Art Department through the College Office of Graduate Affairs. Contact her with any questions related to the admissions process, enrollment, GTA/GRA/GA appointments, M.A. and Ph.D. program requirements, petitions, comprehensive and final exam processes, and graduation requirements.
