Biography

Maggie Vaughn is a PhD student specializing in art since 1960. In her dissertation, “Mapping Globalization in the Art of Guillermo Kuitca, Susan Stockwell, and Tiffany Chung,” she explores concepts of place, post-colonialism, and diaspora in map-based art created after 1980. The transnational scope of her dissertation reflects her interests in global and cross-cultural art histories. 



Maggie has taught courses on the survey of western art, modern art, and the history of photography. She has held internships at the Kansas Museum of History, Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts, and Philadelphia Museum of Art.
