Biography —
Youngin Arial Kim studies Korean modern and contemporary art, with a focus on the intersection of art and politics. Her research interests include ideological conflicts addressed in art; artistic interpretations of the Asian body; and the interrelationship between technology and identity in the era of digitization. Kim is a former Curatorial Assistant at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA). Prior to joining MMCA, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).
