Biography —
Lavender Wang studies early modern Chinese paintings and contemporary artworks’ engagement with East Asian visual traditions. Her previous research topics range from Qing dynasty album leaves to contemporary installation art and diasporic photography.
Prior to joining KU, Lavender received her BA degree in Art History (honors) and Marketing Communication from Wake Forest University, where she served on the art acquisition committee and interned at the Hanes Art Gallery.
