Biography —
Lavender Wang studies Chinese paintings and contemporary artworks’ engagement with East Asian visual traditions. Her research topics range from album leaves in the Qing dynasty to contemporary installation art.
Prior to joining KU, Lavender received her B.A. in Art History (honors) and Marketing Communication from Wake Forest University, where she served on the acquisition committee at the Mark H. Reece collection and interned at the Hanes Art Gallery.
